Full Displacement Pile (FDP) construction method displaces the material of pile diameter laterally into the adjacent ground with a spindle-type boring tool with spiral blades through clockwise rotation and torque & crowd force from a rotary drilling rig, making loose soil of pile diameter compacted. After reaching the predetermined design depth, the displacement tool continues to turn clockwise while being extracted, concrete is poured simultaneously through the hollow stem and subsequently reinforcement cage, rebar or H beam is installed using a vibrodriver, forming a cylindrical full displacement pile.
With the features of high load-carrying capacity, small settlement, good quality, low cost & energy consumption and high work efficiency, FDP are now widely used in civil engineering in Europe & US, accounting for more than 60% market share in countries such as Belgium, with good market prospects.
